Chocolate Cake with Frosting for any occasion!

Hope everyone enjoyed their Easter! We here at Amari Quickbreads Bakery decided to celebrate this Easter season with a very delicious chocolate cake with frosting, it was truly yummy! Since we're dedicated to being a bakery in Nairobi which loves to share the fun of home-baking, we're going to share the recipe, here you go:

Slices of Chocolate Cake


- 21/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
- 3 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 cup Margarine
- 2 Eggs
- 11/2 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
- 1 cup freshly brewed hot coffee


1.) Preheat oven to 350┬║F, then grease and flour a large round cake pan. and set aside.
2.) Sift the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder into a separate bowl.

3.) In another bowl, cream the sugar and margarine, then slowly add one egg at a time and mix til thoroughly blended. Add the vanilla and milk and blend.
4.) Slowly add the flour mixture alternately with the coffee and mix til thoroughly combined. Pour the batter

 into the prepared pan and bake for 40 to 45 minutes,or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
5.) Cool in the pan for 5 minutes then turn out onto a cooling rack and cool completely.
